Lock Haven University offers the Physician Assistant Program through a fourth location via our Harrisburg branch campus at the Dixon University Center. Harrisburg's Dixon University Center is located along the banks of the beautiful Susquehanna River. Originally built in 1908, it has now been updated with state-of-the-art facilities, and the latest innovations in technology. Using state-of-the-art technology, the University is able to deliver high-definition television quality, fully-interactive, live broadcasts of curriculum between the four campus locations. Full-time resident faculty at Harrisburg conduct the same small group learning and lab experiences that are provided at the Lock Haven campus, while students enjoy the more intimate environment afforded by a smaller class size. This educational model has been studied extensively by the program faculty and represents a highly effective mechanism to extend the PA curriculum to citizens in the south central regions of the Commonwealth. During the clinical year students from the Harrisburg location complete clinical experiences at locations throughout south central Pennsylvania and beyond. Lock Haven University is one of only several programs nationally to utilize this advanced technology.
